California made its official guide for the November 3, 2026, general election available for public review on July 21. Secretary of State Weber's office said examination would run through August 10, online and at its Sacramento and Los Angeles locations. [1]
The announcement described a guide combining proposition information, statements from candidates for constitutional offices, the California Voter Bill of Rights and instructions about voting. It listed ten languages: English, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese. The public display came before the planned printing and household mailing. [1]
Printing and mailing would follow the review period for households with at least one registered voter. It also offered audio and large-print versions, along with additional paper copies in the ten languages, through its telephone and email request channels. Those options extended access beyond the standard mailed edition. [1]
Registered voters could choose an emailed link instead of a paper copy. The release distinguished requests made during online registration from those submitted through the existing-voter status service. It said every registered voter in a household needed to opt out for that household's mailing to stop. [1]
