PBS’s October 9 agreement gave member stations the option to stream France 24 English as a subchannel on PBS.org and its app. This added an international news feed to their distribution choices; it did not announce newly commissioned local reporting. [1]

PBS’s December 2019 YouTube TV rollout carried more than 100 member stations’ live and on-demand programming through a subscription service. That earlier arrangement distributed local station feeds, illustrating how carriage agreements shape access without establishing a newsroom. [2]

PBS described nine available linear, commercial-free channel options after the deal, not nine channels guaranteed at every station. It supplied no participating-station list or evidence of audience gains. [1]
