ETV World expanded its digital viewing routes

On March 25, 2026, South Carolina ETV announced wider access to ETV World through its website, SCETV app and PBS app. The channel combined international news and documentaries with gavel-to-gavel General Assembly coverage, extending a public-affairs service across digital viewing routes. ^[1]

The website stream had an earlier history: SCETV’s January 6 session preview already listed it alongside antenna and cable access. That notice also paired live chamber coverage with the State House Gavel’s contextual reporting. March’s announcement therefore documented expanded distribution, rather than the first appearance of legislative video online. ^[2]

The current State House Today page separates a channel stream from additional Senate, House and committee feeds and links to archives. For a resident tracing a specific debate, those are different starting points: the channel follows its program schedule, while meeting feeds and recordings organize access around particular proceedings. ^[3]

Access still depends on the viewing route. PBS Help says its local-station livestream requires no Passport membership or fee, but is limited to the station’s broadcast area and can differ from the television schedule. Rights also mean a program seen live may lack an on-demand version; a live link does not promise a permanent replay. ^[4]
