Ambrose Akinmusire and Aszure Barton’s A a | a B : BEND is scheduled at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater October 28–30, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. The roughly hour-long music-and-dance collaboration is listed for ages eight and older. The venue is at Jazz at Lincoln Center in the Deutsche Bank Center at Columbus Circle. [1]

The event page lists Choose-What-You-Pay admission. For sold-out performances, it describes a day-of line near the ground-floor box office, with any released tickets offered in arrival order; admission is not guaranteed. Audio description is listed for October 30 at 7:30 p.m. The production also carries a notice about atmospheric smoke, fog or haze. [1]

The dates are the current engagement, rather than a newly issued announcement. Lincoln Center included BEND in its August 5 season release, placing it within an expanded contemporary-dance program and a season offered free or through Choose-What-You-Pay admission. That wider framework connects this collaboration with the institution’s effort to make varied performance formats accessible to people who may not already follow a particular company or genre. [2]

Akinmusire’s own career account helps explain the range behind the partnership. It traces a musical upbringing involving gospel, hip-hop and jazz, and later work with artists including Joni Mitchell and Kendrick Lamar. It also identifies collaborations with choreographers as part of his practice. That background offers a way into BEND’s meeting of composition and movement without assuming the performance will follow a conventional jazz-concert format. [3]

For attendance planning, Lincoln Center directs people to the individual event page to confirm the ticketing route. Its general guide distinguishes Choose-What-You-Pay ticket purchases from free, first-come general-admission events and the Atrium’s Fast Track reservation system. BEND’s Rose Theater listing is the one to follow; the options described for other venues should not be assumed to apply. Online booking and CenterCharge are the official purchase routes listed in the guide. [4]
