CPSC recalled plastic kits supplied with Childcraft furniture on June 11: the restraints could break or degrade, risking tip-overs. [1]

Keep children away from affected furniture; stop using the straps and request free stainless-steel replacements from School Specialty. Check the item number underneath against the recall list. [1]

CPSC’s installation guide asks users to read the kit instructions and match supplies to the wall. For drywall or plaster, it locates a stud, not just the visible wall surface. [2]

For furniture, the guide specifies a thick, sturdy attachment point, avoiding thin back panels or veneered edges. Tighten and check both ends, not just the wall connection. [2]
