Access still required separate approvals.

In its September 18, 2026 account, LAS announced a west-side customs facility for international general-aviation and private flights. Separating that processing from commercial airline arrivals was intended to ease congestion; the airport’s September 18 account supplied no measured reduction in waits. [1]
The operating process adds a different boundary. The airport’s reservation form says only flights carrying 20 people or fewer may use the west side. Operators must separately confirm parking and services with their fixed-base operator. [2]
The form, read October 30, lists a $250 west-side facility fee and $800 after-hours service fee. A reservation grants neither landing rights nor flight approval; CBP controls staffing, and operators must request landing rights directly. [2]
The project therefore changed where a segment of international traffic could be processed, rather than opening a replacement passenger terminal. Its operational-efficiency claims remain the airport’s account, not an independently verified outcome. [1]
