A July 16, 2026 city announcement opened registration for free Strong Start GO! mobile preschool classes for children aged 3–5. The program used school buses as classrooms and combined half-day instruction with family workshops and activities. The city presented it as a way to bring early education closer to families’ neighborhoods. [1]
Four locations were listed: Chuck Minker Sports Complex, Historic Westside School, Derfelt Strong Future Youth Enrichment Center and Marble Manor. The announced timetable offered morning sessions from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and afternoon sessions from 1 to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. These were the locations and hours published in July, not a fresh check of available places. [1]
The curriculum included literacy, math, social and emotional development, fitness and science, using sensory play. Family workshops accompanied the classroom sessions. The July release directed new parents to an online registration link and listed 702-229-KIDS, option 3, for questions. These were the arrangements announced in July; available places were not independently rechecked for this retrospective. [1]
