NPS’s May 22, 2026 announcement offered advance reservations for the Lincoln Memorial undercroft, with bookings starting May 26. [1]

Free tickets carried a $1 reservation fee, covering up to six people. The charge applied per booking, rather than per visitor. [1]

Limited same-day tickets offered an alternative to advance booking. Those historical arrangements do not establish current availability. [1]

Interior confirmed the June 25 opening, making previously inaccessible space beneath the memorial public through a partnership with philanthropic support. [2]

Interior described tactile and audio exhibits interpreting construction and legacy. Its announcement establishes opening and design features, without measuring visitors’ experiences. [2]
